Under normal circumstances, when connecting the printer to the iCHEF POS, you can directly use the IP address assigned by the router. Only in rare cases, due to in-store network management requirements, is it necessary to configure a static IP.
To ensure print quality and system stability, iCHEF only notifies you to update printer firmware during major version upgrades. If print content shifts or skews, try restoring the printer to factory settings and check if the issue improves.
Please check the LED light status on the printer, each LED independently indicates status or error information.
The iCHEF-supported printers use thermal print heads and require special thermal paper rolls with heat-sensitive coating to print properly. Paper roll sizes and installation methods vary by printer model, so please place the paper roll correctly according to the corresponding model.
Regular cleaning of the printer helps maintain print quality and extend the equipment’s lifespan. If you notice blurry printing on receipts, you can clean the print head first to improve printing performance.
Cutter lock often occurs when the printer jams; this is an automatic safety protection mechanism. After removing the jammed paper and resetting the cutter, the printer will resume normal operation.
iCHEF POS can flexibly allocate printers according to the operation process, and print out Guest Checks, Kitchen Receipts or stickers, etc., to elevate the efficiency of operation.
The mPOP device supported by iCHEF connects to an iPad via Bluetooth. mPOP device connects to an iPad using Bluetooth, and once it has been paired with an iPad, other devices will not be able to detect the mPOP. If you need to change the iPad that the mPOP is connected to, you will need to initialize the Bluetooth of the mPOP.
To open the cash drawer of mPOP, press and hold the multi-function button (red button in the paper drawer) until the cash drawer opens. If you do not need this function, you can disable the setting.
The mC-Print3 is set to a standard print density (font color depth) by factory default. Keeping the default print density can extend the lifespan of the print head. If the default print density is too light and you want to increase it, you can adjust the settings to achieve it.
