How to manage orders Mobile Ordering (Dine-in) on iCHEF POS.
Push & Notification

When customers place an order from Mobile Ordering (Dine-in), you will receive a push notification and a sound reminder on iCHEF POS. Please toggle on [Allow Notifications] in your iPad Settings, so that iCHEF POS is allowed to send alerts.
Order Confirming Window

Unaccepted orders will be listed chronologically in a pop-up window. You can swipe to check the orders, and tap [Accept] or [Decline] to confirm an order. Order status will also be updated on customer’s screen.

A:Confirm Orders
Every orders require your confirmation on iCHEF POS. To prevent customers from waiting, we suggest to turn on auto-accept.
- Accept: Orders will be created at specified tables on iCHEF POS, and the order status on customer’s screen will turn to [Accepted].
- Decline: Orders will be removed from iCHEF POS, and you can send a decline message to the customer.
B:Order Source
All dine-in orders. Order number will be displayed after accepting.
C:Specified Table
The table number of the QR code that customer scanned.
D:Total & Payment Status
Total price of the order and payment status. You can still give discounts to unpaid orders at checkout.
E:Order Notes
Notes that customers left for the order.
F:Items and Modifiers
Items and modifiers that customers selected.
G: Amount of Unconfirmed Orders
This amount shows when you have more than 2 unconfirmed orders. When there are more than 5 orders, you’ll find a button of “Return to first order”.
Check Order Details
When an order is accepted, the order will be created at specified tables on iCHEF POS.
Paid Orders

Tap the order you want to check on iCHEF POS, then you can view ordering details, reprint kitchen tickets or guest checks. You can also add new items in the same order and proceed to checkout on iCHEF POS. A currency symbol will show up on a paid item. If you want to refund a paid item on the order, please refund the entire order and take orders again.
Unpaid Orders

Tap the order you want to check on iCHEF POS, then you can view ordering details, add new items in the same order, give discounts or loyalty points. Customers can pay at counter by iCHEF POS.
Items Sold out
When there is an item out of stock, change the item status as “sold out” at once to prevent potential disputes.
- Go to iCHEF POS Toolbox > Product/Modifier Status
- Change item/modifier status to [Sold out]
- Once the item/modifier is available, don’t forget to switch the status back to “Available”.

Unable to Accept New Orders
You may be unable to accept the orders from mobile ordering (Dine-in) due to particular reasons.
New Feature! Customers can now add new items to their original order. The new items added will be merged to the existing order automatically. No more need to merge orders manually! Learn more about Add New Item to Existing Order
Online Ordering Management
To be more flexible in managing online orders, you can change certain settings of Online Store directly on iCHEF POS.

Auto Accept Orders
After customers send an order from Mobile Ordering (Dine-in) page, you will receive a push notification and a sound reminder on iCHEF POS. To turn on auto-accept, go to Online Store > Mobile Ordering (Dine-in) > Order Settings
New Order Notification Mode
When receiving an new order, you will receive a push notification and a sound reminder on iCHEF POS. You can decide the play mode of reminder.
- Loop: The sound reminder will repeat continuously until you tap to open order accepting window.
- Once: The sound reminder will be played only once.
- None: No sound at all. You can still receive a push notification.
While [Auto-Accept] is toggled on, you’re unable to select [Loop]. If your original setting is [Loop], notification mode will be switched to [Once]. If your original setting is [None], there will be no sound effect for new orders. However, if any order accepting error occurs, the sound reminder will be played once to inform you of the failed order.

If you already turn the volume up but doesn’t hear the reminder, please check the volume of your iPad and toggle on [Allow Notifications] in your iPad Settings.
