To open the cash drawer of mPOP, press and hold the multi-function button (red button in the paper drawer) until the cash drawer opens. If you do not need this function, you can disable the setting.
- Please go to the APP Store and search for [Star Quick Setup Utility], download and install.
- Turn on the printer power, and connect the Bluetooth between the printer and the iPad.
- Open [Star Quick Setup Utility], and select [Select Printer].
When you first open the [Star Quick Setup Utility] app, a notice will appear asking for permission to access the local network and Bluetooth on your device. Please [Allow] to obtain permission.
- Please select the printer you would like to set up in the search list and click [YES].
- Click Printer Settings > Memory Switch Settings
- Adjust the [Drawer Open Switch] to [Disable], then click [Apply].
Do not turn off the mPOP while the firmware is being updated and do not remove the network cable, Bluetooth, or transmission cable. When the iPad screen shows [Success], it means the printer has completed the update.

- Open [Star Quick Setup Utility], and select [Select Printer].

Use Lock Release Lever to Open the Cash Drawer
If you are unable to configure the multi-function button using the Star Quick Setup Utility, you can use the method of forcing the cash drawer to open in case of an emergency to open the cash drawer.
- Turn off the mPOP.
- Slightly tilt the mPOP upward or at an incline, there is a cash drawer release lever hole at the bottom of the printer. Use a pen to insert in the release lever hole and push forward to open the cash drawer.
Please be aware of items falling out of the cash drawer when using the release lever to open the cash drawer to open.
