Under Authorization on iCHEF backend, you can create an account for each employee, enable the authorization verification for specific operations and manage the authorization for different positions through the settings of “authorization groups”.
When the authorization verification is enabled, the staff needs to enter their POS passcode before performing any operations. Meanwhile, the system will record these operations for you to manage and track in an efficient way.
An authorization group is the smallest unit for settings up the operating authorization. We suggest that you divide the groups by positions and responsibilities, such as store manager, full-time employee and part-time employee. The employee accounts in the same group all share the same operating authorization.

What is a POS Passcode
You have to configure a set of 4-digit unique passcode for each account. This passcode will be a dedicated ID for an employee to operate iCHEF POS. Employees need to enter passcode under the following two situations:
When operating the functions that require the authorization verification, the employee needs to enter POS passcode by the popped-up number keyboard on iPad. iCHEF POS will identify if the entered account is authorized for the operation. If not, the system will not allow the employee to perform the operation.

Clocking in/out
When clocking in/out through the toolbox, the employee needs to enter POS passcode for the system to log attendance records.

To recover POS passcode, please contact the administrator who is authorized to logging in to the backend for help. The administrator can visit iCHEF backend > Authorization to check and reset the passcode. Those who are authorized to log in to the backend or iCHEF POS can enter personal Login ID and password instead.
You can check the operation records of staff by going to Sales & Report > Authorization Record.
